Host:

Annual Bluegrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, Creeping Bentgrass, Colonial Bentgrass, Velvet Bentgrass, Perennial Ryegrass, Tall Fescue, Fine Fescue, Redtop

Environmental Requirements:

85-95 F daytime and 68F+ night time temperatures, high humidity, low soil moisture

Stand Symptoms:

circular reddish-brown patches

Plant Symptoms:

water soaked and slimy foliage

Fungal Signs

whitish, cottony mycelium on affected turf when moisture is present

Environmental Modification:

improve drainage, avoid high levels of N fertility

Plant Resistance:

Perennial Ryegrass most susceptible
