Pathogen:

Colletotrichum graminicola

Host:

Annual Bluegrass, Creeping Bentgrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, Fine Fescue, Perennial Ryegrass

Environmental Requirements:

80-95 F, high moisture

Stand Symptoms:

irregular-shaped patches of yellowed or bronzed turf, several inches to feet wide

Plant Symptoms:

elongated reddish-brown lesions

Fungal Signs

dark acervuli and setae

Environmental Modification:

decrease thatch, relieve compaction, increase P and K fertility

Plant Resistance:

use less susceptible species
