Welcome to the laboratory portion of Introduction to Plant Pathology (PP300).

Course Objectives:

1. To provide an understanding of disease diagnosis and management.
2. To provide and understanding of the causal agents of plant disease.
3. To provide an understanding of the interaction that occurs between plant pathogenic organisms and their host at the molecular, cellular, whole plant, and population levels.
4. To demonstrate how knowledge of the biology of pathogens, hosts, and environmental factors leads to rational and intelligent decisions on effective disease management strategies.
5. Laboratory emphasizes identification, isolation, culture, and control of representative fungi, bacteria, viruses, and nematodes which harm ornamental, vegetable, fruit and field crops.
