The Department of Plant Pathology Library closed as a general use library Friday, October 5, 2012. Most of the holdings of this small departmental library are duplicated in other libraries within the UW-Madison General Library System (GLS).

The Department of Plant Pathology donated to GLS all books and serials that are of use, and as a general trend, Steenbock Library has accepted any former Dept. of Plant Pathology items that were not already present in the GLS collection.

As of October 6, 2012, the remaining holdings of the Dept. of Plant Pathology Library that have not been moved to Steenbock Library will be repurposed to form a departmental reading room that will no longer be a public library facility. The majority of library items pertaining to the discipline of plant pathology are housed at the UW-Madison Steenbock Library.
