Interlibrary Loan Service
The Plant Pathology Library routes Interlibrary Loan requests
through Steenbock Library. Request forms are available in the
Plant Pathology Library office.
WHAT IS INTERLIBRARY LOAN?
If you need a book or an article that cannot be found in a library
on the University of Wisconsin campus, the Interlibrary Loan
department will try to obtain it for you from another library.
WHO MAY USE THIS SERVICE?
The Steenbock Library Interlibrary Loan Service is available to
faculty, staff and graduate students in the College of Agricultural
and Life Sciences, School of Family Resources and Consumer
Sciences, and the School of Veterinary Medicine.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Complete a "Steenbock Interlibrary Loan Request" form available at
the Plant Pathology Library or at Steenbock's Information Services
Desk, or via E-mail at
Steenbock Interlibrary Loan
Return the completed paper form to the Plant Pathology Library Office,
Steenbock's Information Desk or send it via
campus mail to Steenbock Library, Interlibrary Loan or FAX it to
263-3221. The form must be completed in full (name, address, phone
number, and correct citation). Incomplete forms will be returned
to you.
We will attempt to obtain requested items from another
library/campus.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Interlibrary loan of materials takes time. The average request is
filled within three to four weeks. If you need materials faster
than that, please call the Interlibrary Loan department at 263-6563. Rush service may be available.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Steenbock Library currently absorbs the cost of obtaining materials
from other non-campus libraries.
