Welcome Fall and Summer 2014 New Graduate Students! New Student Information Guide

We will have two orientation events, if students are unable to attend they must notify Sara by August 15th.

  • New Student Orientation,Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 9:00 am in Room A228 Russell Labs – this session will provide a general overview of funding, benefits, degree requirements, e-reimbursement, building and IT resources, Steenbock Library, and a lunch with current student representatives and faculty members; a continental breakfast will also be provided
  • Benefits Sign-up Session, Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 9:30 am in Room A120 Russell Labs – this session is for students funded through Plant Pathology and will give students a chance to sign-up for their benefits, Sheila Timme and other HR staff will be on hand to answer questions
  • Rotation Lab Presentations, Thursday, August 28, noon in Room 594 Russell Labs - this session is only for students entering as a PhD rotation student.  Labs interested in hosting rotation students will present to the incoming rotators.  Lunch will be provided. (this is new as of May 28, 2014)

Students who begin their funding in Summer 2014 need to contact Sheila Timme (608-263-4520) to set up their benefits when they arrive.
